Once a month we hold a special Morning in the Garden
we call it – Conversations and Q & A
Each month has its seasonal gardening focus and often with special guest speakers.
We are planning a special celebration for the September Spring Conversations
on 18th September as it will be the 4th birthday for The Cherington Therapeutic Community Garden
and we would like to extend an invitation for you to join us, (even if only for a short time).
Special guest speaker, Annette Burmeister will give a presentation on Garden Therapy.
Annette, a Horticulturalist and ‘Friend of the Garden’ has recently been working at the Charles Darwin University, with the development of the first Accredited Australian Garden Therapy course.
Annette’s presentation will assist us to develop a new Garden Therapy programme for the Garden,
and we would like to connect with any interested Health Practitioners or Patients from IHS to join us
in this new development of a potential programme for the Garden.
