Doctor Lucas Allen – General Practitioner

Dr Lucas Allen is a GP registrar who has a significant experience working in many South Australian metropolitan and rural hospitals as part of his training. This includes stints at Flinders Medical Centre, Mount Gambier Hospital and Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre working in various Emergency, General Medicine, and Geriatric departments.

Dr Allen is passionate about preventative health and implementing medical and lifestyle interventions to mitigate the risk of chronic disease and improve long-term health outcomes.  This includes management of Type 2 Diabetes, Heart Failure, Osteoporosis, and COPD. He also completes heart health checks to identify those at risk of cardiovascular disease.

Outside of work, Dr Allen enjoys sports and lives an active lifestyle, and is a keen runner and cyclist. This leads to an interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine & Musculoskeletal injury diagnosis and management.
