Dr Ania Kritzinger – GP

Dr Kritzinger received her medical degree from the University of the Free State, in Bloemfontein, South Africa in 1987. In 1989, she started working as a general practitioner and obtained a post graduate degree in Family Medicine, from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 1999.

In 2008, Dr Kritzinger immigrated to Australia with her husband and two children. They are now very pleased to be citizens of this lovely country. Dr Kritzinger passed her Fellowship exam in 2009 and became a Fellow of the The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Since that time, she has certainly enjoyed working in private practice in the southern suburbs.

Dr Kritzinger has undertaken in addition, training in her various areas of interest including for example, with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. She has been working as an integrative GP for over five years and enjoys having these additional tools to help her patients.

Her special interests are Metabolic Syndrome – Insulin Resistance Syndrome and Diabetes, Weight management, Endocrinology – Thyroid disease and Osteoporosis, Women’s health, Dermatology and Sports Medicine.

Outside of work she is an enthusiastic tennis player, movie goer, reader and enjoys listening to all kinds of music. She believes in the power of the mind and a positive outlook in life.

Dr Kritzinger is forever curious and aims to never stop learning, that being one of the reasons she has come to join our team.
