Welcomes new patients
Dr Day graduated from Flinders University and as part of his rural general practice (GP) training did a Musculoskeletal placement with Dr Norm Broadhurst in Glenelg while also studying his graduate certificate in Musculoskeletal Medicine. This knowledge was expanded with multiple modalities including Cranio Sacral Therapy, Somato Emotional Release and Visceral Manipulation courses through the Upledger and Barral Institutes, which look at dysfunctions of the body from a whole body perspective which include the organs, emotions and stress.
Completing a course in 2005 on the nutritional aspects of Musculoskeletal health certainly made it apparent that nutrition and the gut were also very important in good Musculoskeletal health leading to further studies through ACNEM (Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine) and other varied sources to give a balanced whole person approach.
This combination of skills works well for most conditions but particularly headaches / migraines, traumatic head injuries / concussion, chronic neck and back pain, irritable bowel syndrome, stress and tension related problems, fatigue, fibromyalgia and orthopaedic problems. The initial session will generally involve taking and collating a clinical history and uncovering the clients main concerns. Patients will receive a physical assessment to determine problem areas and areas of need will be treated as necessary. Dietary and emotional issues are generally discussed while being treated as necessary.
Dr Day has recently undertaken additional training in Plant based medicine and accepts referrals to assist patients in this emerging treatment area. He has a wait time for new patients and appointment enquiries can be made here
Dr Day is an independent tenant practitioner at Integrative Health Solutions and is therefore responsible for all his own conduct at this facility. Cam Day’s ABN is 55318907785.
